“I’m 38 & don’t think I have infertility problems.Should I take infertility drugs anyway to insure pregnancy”
Because of my age I really would like to have multiples. I’m getting married soon and would like to have children soon after. Is it safe to take fertility drugs early-like months before the wedding to be sure of a pregnancy.
I would not take medication to ensure pregnancy. The problem with doing that is that there are side effects. If you take a follicle stimulating drug like Clomid it will inevitably increase your chances of having multiples. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but multiples are risky in that there is a higher incidence of miscarriage and birth defects in some situations. You don’t want to mess around with your fertility if there is a good chance you don’t need to. I would see a doctor and discuss all options with them openly and honestly before making a decision to go on medication.
